The following artists have performed at Jazzfest Bonn in the past years:

(LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn | May 11, 2018) Aaron Goldberg is quite certain that “No performance will ever be like any other.” The American pianist – among the most sought-after on the international scene – feels a deep connection to tradition, but hopes to influence and develop this creative inheritance with his own personal style. DownBeat Magazine praised his “quick-witted harmonic reflexes.” This will be the first chance to experience him and his music in Bonn. Aaron Goldbergpiano

(Universität Bonn| April 28, 2018) In 2017, Andreas Schaerer unleashed a musical whirlwind with his band Hildegard Lernt Fliegen [Hildegard Learns To Fly]. Now this exceptional vocalist returns to Bonn with another one of his regular projects: A Novel of Anomaly. This quartet is “anomalous” in the best sense, because Schaerer, the catalyst of the group, shines here with the jazzy Bella vita spirit of the Italian Luciano Biondini and the rugged Nordic electronic sounds of the Finn Kalle Kalima. Pure sonic enjoyment for open ears. Andreas Schaerer voice

(LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn | 8.5.2015) Anke Helfrich plays in the first league of the European jazz piano, since hardly anyone combines musical finesse and sweeping joy of making music in such a colour-intensive and imaginative way. Currently the jazz pianist is working on a new album, which she is going to present at the Jazzfest. Over the past few years, Helfrich has intensively been studying the history of jazz, on the basis of which she is now looking for new ways; musical paths that manage without fixed corset and certainties. One of the best rhythm groups of the German scene will accompany ...

(Beethoven-Haus Bonn | 6.5.2016) Over the nearly fifty years of their relationship, Dave Liebman and Richie Beirach have carved out a place in jazz history through their collaborations in several distinct settings: as a duo, in the iconic fusion group of the 1970s, Lookout Farm, and with the critically acclaimed quartet Quest in the 1980s. Their musical telepathy is documented on several dozen recordings. Their history is part of jazz folklore, beginning with their mutual apprenticeships (most notably Liebman with Elvin Jones and Miles Davis, and Beirach with Stan Getz and Chet Baker).
