The Swedish piano virtuoso Jacob Karlzon improvises using Swedish folk songs and his own compositions, as well as the music of Ravel, Tears for Fears, and U2, to explore the full range of the piano’s possibilities: from quiet and fragile passages to outbursts of powerful sound. “When you are alone on the stage, the interaction with the audience determines what kind of energy the evening will have,” he says. With ONE, Jacob Karlzon is undertaking a completely solo tour for the first time – just a piano, the audience, and the artist himself in a sizzling ménage a trois. Karlzon combines spectacular technique with deep emotional sensitivity, the perfect prerequisites for a remarkable evening of music.
